Time flies. All of a sudden, I realize that I have been in this foreign trade firm ----Mident Industrial Co Ltd as an international trade saleswoman for nearly 3 months.
During the 3 months, I have encountered so many happiness and sorrow as other foreign trade salesmen.
I remember very well before I decided to hunt for a satisfactory job, I was determined to seek a job which must be related to economy. At the same time I shall take advantage of my English. Though my English is not very excellent, only pass CET6, Although my major is teaching Chinese as a second language, it has nothing common to international trade. Besides, my parents and friends try their best to advise me to be a teacher. However to their disappointed, I just follow my head, and choose to enter into international trade field without any hesitation,
All things are difficult before they are easy, as I learn nothing about foreign trade. The first day I went to work, I felt everything is quite strange to me, such as the trade terms, the methods of shipment, the terms of payment and so on. All these things poured into my head. I just feel I can do nothing .Except for this, I also need to memorize some weird dental products like dental handpieces, LED curing light, dental ultrasonic scaler, dental apex locator, dental air compressor etc. Oh, my god. All these things are making me tired every day. Who knows, I have no interest in these items at all. But giving up easily is not my personality, so I tell myself now that I choose this job I will never give up before I attempt and I will make any efforts to overcome all the difficulty I meet.
Day after day, I am familiar with the procedure of the international trade gradually. This is a long period of time with my persistence and all colleagues’ support. Especially I am very appreciated about Tracy, Linda, and Alice’s warmly help. Thanks a million. I will never forget you.
Now I would like to write something about doing business with foreign friends. To be honest, I enjoy engaging business with foreigners. At first I just think because of cultural differences I may encounter many problems when communicate with them. But it’s proved to be my fault. The first client is a German, He left a deep impression on me. He only asked me the price and the freight to Berlin. When I offered the price to him, he was very delighted and told me it is very suitable. So he paid the money in the day. I thought he was a very efficient business man.
Of course, the German is only an example. The point I want to emphasize is that if you really want to deal a successful business with a foreigner. The most important factor is that you need to be sincere to your clients. Although the quality and the price are very significant, you cannot decide them because your mission as a saleswoman is just trying your best to sell the products out. They belong to the objective factors, you cannot change, the only thing you can do is to be trustworthy and loyal to your clients, and let your clients be aware that you are forever reliable to them, when purchase your products they just can be very assured.
Please learn by your heart: change what you can, and accept what you must.
Apart from your sincerity to clients, the strong determination is also a necessary quality as a salesman needs, I think it is very common to receive many inquiries from Alibaba and Made in china, but whether you have the determination to change these inquiries into your loyal clients. During this process you need to do a lot of work, after you receive no reply from the clients, you need to prepare your tracking letter.
All in all, never say die before the things are easy,
At present, I love this job very much, I can proudly say I am no regret to choose this occupation, I can also tell you if you really want to challenge yourself ,maybe you can consider this field . When it comes to my capacity although I cannot match the old colleagues, I firmly believe with my efforts I can have a bright future someday,
